A question for pagans and Wiccans …?
Do you know of some good pagan music, anything but sing? I know of Enya, Loreena McKennitt and the like, I'm from the south, so I expected something a little country, or Norah Jones, you know, something soft and relaxing, but with words, do not need more music meditation. I have not looked into any new music for a while, so I'm a bit out of touch, lol. Thanks for the help.
For Celtic: Loreena McKennitt, both the visit and Ancient Muse are the best records. (But Loreena is actually a mixture of Celtic and Eastern sounds.) Kate Price, the dream island. (It's dynamite). Loreena better voice and more Celtic sound. Aine Minogue, Celtic Pilgrimage. Features songs gala language. I can not understand a word of it, but it is terrible. For Egyptian: Ani Williams, Shemah – The Calling. Ani comes from northern Arizona, playing the Celtic harp, but the sound is pure ancient Egypt, a new era without difficulty. For Middle East: Stellam, Seven Valleys – This is one of my favorites. Great ancient Middle Eastern flavor without excessive percussion. Beautiful voice. For the Aegean area (Greece / Turkey): James Gray, Old Travel. Majestic beyond words. You are sailing with the ancient Greeks to visit Samos. No voices. Paul Avgerinos, Words Touch. You are now in the field of the gods with it. No voices. And if you go to CD Baby, you can hear the first 2 minutes of each song before deciding to buy. So there will be no surprises. I think you'll be happy with these discs. Best wishes, Jean
